Oct. Meetup Recap

Thanks to all who made it out last night - it was a good showing and a lively bunch. Special thanks to Dave Cantera for the Video Phone via Asterisk presentation. I must say that the quality of the feed was pretty impressive and there's no questioning the "cool" factor. It'll be very interesting to see how Asterisk and others evolve their Video Phone plays in the near future. Nice work Dave.

We didn't get to the topic of VoIP security last night and instead spent time after the presentation on in-depth introductions. There are some interesting folks turning up for these meetings and there's an excellent blend of experience, technical skills and wide knowledge across the group.

All that said - we will be diving into VoIP security issues, best practices and specifics re: Asterisk next month. We'll make it a two hour meeting to ensure ample time for discussion - does 7-9pm work for everyone?
